WORKSPACE // Tracy Allyn Photography

To keep creativity flowing, you need a proper space. A space that encourages you to thrive and produce your best work. With this in mind, we thought it would be fun to feature creative + stimulating workspaces here on our blog.

Our very first workspace feature is Studio Plus, a home studio for photographer Tracy Allyn Croysdale of Tracy Allyn Photography. Designed by her husband and architect Robert Croysdale, Tracy's studio was completed in February 2011.

Tracy writes, "Every morning I wake up and step in the space to edit it makes me happy. All new construction but attached to our home, it is only about 700 sq feet but perfect for me."

"The back wall is glass windows and door and there is a window above the blue chaise, I just have blackout roll down blinds on all the windows in the studio.  That way I can shoot natural light or with studio lighting. But it is great to have the windows open when I'm editing on cool days like today so I can hear my wind chimes and the birds."

What a beautiful, vibrant space! Thanks for sharing it with us, Tracy!

Do you have a unique photo studio or workspace? We'd love to feature it here on Have An Epiphanie! Send your photos to media@epiphaniebags.com.

The colors are amazing. They truly reflect Tracy's energy — vibrant, upbeat, and full of life! I believe every creative mind needs their own, unique space, and this one is simply lovely.

This is beautiful, but I had to laugh at the "only 700 sq ft", my house is only just overy 900!

I understand completely, Sarah. Our first house was about 1,000 sq ft. and I loved every inch of that cottage style house. This one is still a modest size. The studio is 350 sq ft down and 350 upstairs. Just enough for shooting newborns, children, maternity, or families up to 4 when needed and weather (rain or heat) prevents an outdoor shoot.
